Film reviews, news and discussion by Paul Martin
"They come out with a strange, fantastic feeling and they can carry that, and it opens some little door or something that's magical and that's the power that film has." - David Lynch

Got it!
I have it in my hot little hands - my MIFF passport came in the mail today, along with tickets to the opening night film, Michael Moore's Sicko and entry to the party. I've taken two and a half weeks off work for this, so I'm pretty excited. Oh, and my copy of The Air Is On Fire arrived from Amazon. It's basically in book form (and a big one at that), the contents of the David Lynch art exhibition shown at Fondation Cartier pour lárt contemporain in Paris from May 3 to 27 this year. I don't have time to look at it as I'm racing off to the last screening at ACMI's Focus on Isabelle Huppert: La cérémonie (The Ceremony, Claude Chabrol, 1995).
