I found the flaws in &lt;I&gt;The Lives of Others&lt;/I&gt; fairly minor and overshadowed by its strengths, particularly plot and character development, as well as the visuals.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;With &lt;I&gt;Pan's Labyrinth&lt;/I&gt; the main strengths were the visuals including set design and characters.
